Accommodation
There are mainly 4 convenient accommodation options for School groups in the Reykjavik area. These are the hostels/guesthouses Reykjavík youth hostel, Reykjavík backpackers, Capital Inn and Hotel Cabin.
Another feasible option is to divide the accommodation between the capital area and the countryside, and perhaps stay at a countryside hotel for 1-2 nights. Iceland Travel has contracts with several of such hotels.

Reykjavík Youth Hostel
The Hostel is ideally located in Laugardalur, where many opportunities for leisure pursuits and services can be found. The largest swimming pool in Reykjavík (50 m/ 160-foot outdoor pool with many hot pots) is adjacent to the hostel, a supermarket and a bank are 500 meters (1,640 feet) away and city buses stop just outside the hostel.
Hostel guests can choose between rooms with either private or shared bathrooms. Among other services we offer at the hostel are a well equipped member kitchen, washing machines and dryers, lockers and computers with internet access.

Reykjavik Backpackers
Reykjavík Backpackers is a new youth Hostel located in down-town Reykjavík. The hostel is located on Laugavegur, the main shopping street in the city.
Amenities:
- Sixteen 4-8 person dorms and four private rooms for 2-3 persons on 3 floors. Reykjavik Backpackers has 96 beds in total.
- All rooms have shared bathroom facilities. Toilets and showers are located in the center of each floor allowing all rooms easy access to the facilities.
- Common rooms are available on each floor and on the 4th floor there are kitchen facilities available for guests occupying the four private rooms and two 4 person dorms located on the 4th floor.

Hotel Cabin
Hotel Cabin opened in May 1997 and was completely renovated at the beginning of 2007. Hotel Cabin prides itself on offering guests warm, friendly hospitality and a high level of comfort at affordable prices.
The hotel is located at Borgartún, Reykjavík, and has a beautiful view of the bay nearby. Nearby is the Laugardalur recreational area, with its excellent swimming pool and other recreational attractions. Just a short distance away is the city’s main shopping area.

- There are 250 rooms are at the hotel, each equipped with an extensive range of en-suite facilities, including shower/WC, telephone and satellite TV.

Capital Inn
Capital Inn is a friendly family-run guesthouse in Öskjuhlid Park Area in Reykjavik. It’s situated near the Perlan Restaurant that rotates on top of five watertanks and also near the new “Geysir”. At the Öskjuhlid Park Area there are walking and biking paths, green parks and unique nature. Rooms at a reduced rate for school groups are situated in the basement without private facilities.

- Dorm sleeping bag accommodation; one room for 12 persons, one room for 8 persons and five rooms for 4 persons, shared facilities, washbasin.
