DAY 1 - Arrival
A private coach will be waiting at the airport. The route leads from Keflavík airport to Reykjavík for check-in at your accommodation.

DAY 2 - Golden Circle Tour
Morning drive to Nesjavellir geothermal station for an introduction on how Iceland utilizes its geothermal energy. Then head on to Þingvellir National Park, a remarkable geological site and the most historic site in Iceland. Þingvellir is the site of the world's oldest democratic parliament founded in 930. The beautiful canyon running through the park is actually the meeting point of two of the Earth's tectonic plates.

Continue to Gullfoss and Geysir geothermal area. We visit Gullfoss, the Golden Waterfall, one of the most impressive waterfalls in Europe. Only a few minutes drive from Gullfoss is the famous Great Geysir which has lent its name to hot springs all over the world. Here you will see one of the most active geysers in the area, Strokkur, spouting up to 30 meters (98 feet) approximately every ten minutes. The next stop is Kerið, a lake filled extinct volcanic crater. Return to Reykjavik via Hveragerði greenhouse village, and Hellisheiði heath.

DAY 3 - Reykjanes Peninsula and the Blue Lagoon
Drive to the Álftanes peninsula and to Bessastaðir, the residence of Iceland's President. Then continue through Hafnarfjörður and over the vast lava fields of the Reykjanes peninsula to the lighthouse at the tip of the peninsula.

Further along the South coast, travel through rugged lava fields to the the Blue Lagoon. The Lagoon, located in the middle of a black lava field, has pleasantly warm mineral-rich geothermal water. The high natural levels of silica and minerals give the Lagoon its vibrant blue color. The facilities include modern changing rooms and showers, an indoor geothermal pool, a winter garden, restaurants and other services.

DAY 4 - City of Reykjavík & Afternoon Swimming
Reykjavík is the world's most northerly capital, and is home to more than one third of Iceland's population. On this tour we cover the city from one end to the other. We visit the old town center, Parliament, the Cathedral, the harbour, Hallgrímskirkja Church (whose steeple is a Reykjavík landmark), the National Museum, the Pearl (Perlan) and Höfði house, the summit site of 1986.

Drive past the Árbæjarsafn outdoor folk museum, which offers an interesting contrast to the modern buildings of Reykjavík. Before we end the tour we drive past the Ásmundur Sveinsson Sculpture museum.

In the afternoon the group visits the Laugardalslaug Pool, Reykjavík's largest outdoor swimming pool which is heated with water from natural hot springs under the city. Here we enjoy outdoor swimming, hot tubs, whirlpools and a large waterslide. Swimming is possibly the most popular sport in Iceland. Swimming lessons are mandatory in schools and students cannot graduate without passing a swimming test.

DAY 5 - Departure
Your private bus will pick you up at your hotel and take you to Keflavík International Airport.
