The Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights are one of the most spectacular and beautiful natural phenomena, which are visible on clear and crisp winter nights in Iceland. Whether you prefer the scientifical explanation or a more folkloristic approach, the Northern Lights will surely capture your heart and imagination.

Visit Höfn in winter, a small fishing town in South East Iceland. You will combine scenic views of Vatnajokull, Europe's largest glacier, to the incredible show of the Aurora Borealis and its dancing lights.
