What is a Super Jeep / Super truck?
A Super Jeep/Super Truck is originally a standard truck/SUV or van that is modified according to strict regulations in Iceland. It is basically an especially equipped 4x4 vehicle with very large tires (tall 36-46 inch or 95-120 cm) that is designed appositely to face Icelandic demanding terrains both in winter and summer.
Day 1 - Afternoon arrival with the Blue Lagoon
Geothermal Spa
Upon arrival at Keflavik airport, you board the non-guided schedule tour bus for a transfer to the Blue Lagoon where you can choose to bath in its rich mineral waters (bathing fee not included) or simply take a walk in the area. Afterwards head to Reykjavik City and check in at your hotel.
Day 2 - The Golden Circle in a Super Truck
National Park with Geological Wonders (UNESCO) - Spouting Geysers - Snowmobiling on a glacier
Discover three of the most outstanding attractions in South of Iceland on a 4wd super truck excursion. The first stop is at Þingvellir National Park, then onwards to the Gullfoss waterfall and the Geysir geothermal area. The highlight of the day is snowmobiling in the snowy highlands.
Please note: Itinerary and activities are dependent on road and weather conditions.
Day 3 - Evening Northern Lights hunt
Day at leisure for relaxation. This evening you will join a coach tour out of the city's bright lights, to hunt for the natural wonder of the Northern Lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis. These are often seen dancing around in fantastic colors across the Arctic sky.
Please note: The Northern Lights are a natural phenomenon and sightings, therefore, cannot be guaranteed.
Day 4 - Time for some culture.
If your flight is in the afternoon, you might want to plan a visit to one of the numerous museum or art galleries scattered around the city.
Note: Bathing fee at the Blue Lagoon is not included in the price.
