Akureyri Edda Hotel

This modern, upscale Edda Hotel has a total of 204 rooms of which 132 are Plus rooms with en-suite bathrooms in the new building wing. Many of those rooms have balconies with outstanding view. The large hotel is located near the Botanical Garden and the geothermal pool complex, as well as in walking distance to the center of town. Akureyri, the jewel in the crown of North Iceland, is a great place to visit anytime of year and was Lonely Planet's top place to visit in the year 2015. Lake Myvatn is an hour in a car and many visit Hrísey island, a small island in Eyjafjordur fjord, especially during summer. Akureyri is a great place to witness the majestic midnight sun.
