Breidavik Hotel

Location & stunning view of the golden beach and stark mountains are major attractions for this converted farmstead, ideal for visiting the nearby Latrabjarg cliffs. This family run accommodation offers „home cooked" meals and refreshments at the bar along with local insights. The rustic guesthouse rooms are comfortable while en-suite rooms in the adjacent building are cozier than the prefab exterior indicates.

The main reason why people stay in Breidavik hotel is the Latrabjarg bird-cliff. You can watch and take pictures of the Puffins very close, sometimes you can even touch them.

Nearby the hotel area there is a wide golden sand beach, a length of more than 5 km. Dunes and sand, winding streams and a number of birds is also impressive, so we highly recommend a few hours walk on the beach.

Breidavik is situated in the rural part of Raudisandur in the county Vestur Barðastrandarsýsla. Raudisandur is a grassy habitation on the southern coastal area of the district while the local landscape at Breidavik is rather varied with deep clefts and light colored beaches.

The bay is between Látravík and Kollsvík and the small village Patreksfjörður is 50 km away. At the southern side of the fjord is Örlygshöfn, where a few farmsteads, a school, a community centre, a shop and a garage can be found. The arrival point of the ferry “Baldur” is at Brjánslækur at Barðaströnd. It is 80 km away from Breidavik.
