Myvatn Nature Baths

In a volcanic setting among steaming hills, bathers can enjoy the ultimate natural outdoor spa experience at the Myvatn Nature Baths in northern Iceland. This open-air pool of aquamarine blue gets its water from a local geothermal source and contains a unique mixture of minerals, silicates and micro-organisms that are soothing and relaxing for the skin. The temperature is maintained at a comfortable 38-40°C (100-104°F) in the main bathing area and there are also hot tubs and three saunas available for those who like it really hot. Opened in June 2004, Myvatn Nature Baths offer guests a completely natural experience in an area of fragile beauty.
