A daytour from Reykjavik that combines the history, nature and food in the Westfjords. You get the chance to see three different fishing villages in the location of Isafjordur town.
Starting from Reykjavik's airport, a short but dramatic flight will bring you to Isafjordur. Once you have met with your guide, we will first visit the oldest fishing station in Iceland, Ósvör in Bolungarvík where you will see how they used to prepare the fish in the old days. From there we go to the Maritime Museum in Isafjordur before stopping for lunch break (not included).
Taka a short walk in Isafjordur and then onwards by coach to the eco-friendly fishing village Suðureyri on a Food Trail. There you will get to see how people live and work in a small fishing village at the edge of the artic circle.
After a guided tour and a taste of the local cuisine you are welcome to explore the village and meet the locals. Nature lovers will be pleased with the village opportunities and breathtaking scenery. If you like food and travel, don't miss out on Sudureyri.
