The Edge of Iceland - Latrabjarg Bird Cliffs

Welcome to the kingdom of puffins, guillemots, razorbills and gannets in the West of Iceland . A must for birders and photographers

Type of tour:Day Tours
Season:26 June - 21 August
Duration:17 hours

Explore majestic cliffs, encounter thousands of birds and be inspired by the sea view of Iceland's westernmost point.

We start the day bright and early from Reykjavik, heading north towards Stykkisholmur town located on Snaefellsnes peninsula. There we board the Ferry Baldur and enjoy a 3 hour cruise across Breidafjordur Bay, known for its numerous islands and flourishing bird life.

When we reach the other side of the bay we continue on to Latrabjarg, Europe's largest bird cliff, which stretches for 14 km and is up to 444m high. This remote area is the westernmost part of Europe and a home to many different bird species such as puffins, northern gannets, guillemots and razorbills.

Here you will experience being at the edge of Iceland while surrounded by thousands of birds! On the way back we will board the Ferry again and enjoy the landscape for a relaxing evening.
