After a 50-minute flight, you are in the beautiful north of Iceland!  We suggest booking an add-on tour that will meet you at the airport (based on 8.00 am morning arrival in Akureyri) and drop you off at your hotel after the tour. Suggestions are below.

Overnight stay in Akureyri for the next 2 nights.

There are many enjoyable activities in town, such as swimming, visiting museums or strolling through the pretty town square.

The popular Botanical Garden in the summertime is an unexpected paradise of trees, flowers and shrubs with stunning views overlooking the fjord. It’s the northernmost botanical garden in the world and walking through the beautiful garden is a pleasant and peaceful experience and the perfect place to contemplate the diversity of life.

Akureyri boasts a collection of restaurants which use locally produced ingredients in their dishes, and charismatic coffee-houses, concentrated mainly in the town centre and in the trendy Listagil area – a street exclusively dedicated to culture, galleries and art.
