If you are into local beers, local foods and the inside knowledge of Reykjavik and Iceland then this is the tour for you.
This popular tour is based at the Bryggjan Brugghus in the heart of Reykjavik Old Harbour and is perfect for foodies and beer nerds, not to mention those that are looking to learn a little more about the Icelandic culture, customs and current affairs.
Your Icelandic host will mix and match the history of Icelandic ales and modern craft beers with stories about how Icelanders survived in this hard land surrounded by turbulent seas in the high north. The event is informal and your host will discuss anything and everything under the arctic sun, take questions and give honest advice about traveling and enjoying Iceland.
During the event you will taste at least six different beers and ales, each drink paired with a locally sourced and prepared Icelandic sampling course, served “Tapas” styled.
You will taste fish caught earlier the same day from the pier outside the window. Also on the menu is the Icelandic lamb, bred wild and free in the mountains and volcanoes of Iceland, giving it a taste like no-other.
