Hvammsvík Hot Springs sit right on the Atlantic Ocean, with water levels and temperatures of the natural pools fluctuating with the tides. Temperatures range from ocean temperatures (around 10°C/50°F) to 42°C/108°F.
When you visit Hvammsvík Hot Springs, you will feel both relaxed and invigorated. We promise you a unique experience in eight natural hot springs situated along the shoreline and merging with the ocean.
Area locals built Hvammsvík Hot Springs using rocks from the surroundings, in harmony with the nature and wildlife. An original barrack foundations built by Allied troops during World War II now houses the facilities.
Your admission includes unlimited access to all facilities.  Enjoy eight natural hot springs, the steam bath, and free use of the paddle boards (summertime, weather permitting). Jump into the ocean, go for a hike on the estate&#8217;s walking trails, or simply chill on the black beach.
After a soak in the hot springs, you might enjoy some of the delicious, light dishes at Hvammsvík’s Stormur Bistro and Bar. Stormur’s soups, sandwiches, and cakes are made from nourishing ingredients inspired by the surroundings.

A visual and spiritual experience, Sky Lagoon invokes all the senses: the salty scent of the Atlantic Ocean, the sounds of the wildlife and the ocean tides, the feel of the warm geothermal water and the taste of the local cuisine at Smakk Bar or the Sky Café. Most powerful of all are the inspiring views from the lagoon&#8217;s vast infinity edge. Also, you’ll see enchanting Skerjafjörður (the fjord where Sky Lagoon sits), Keilir mountain, and Bessastaðir Presidential residence. If the day is clear, you&#8217;ll see the iconic Snæfellsjökull glacier mountain.
Immerse yourself in warmth at our oceanside geothermal lagoon as the dramatic North Atlantic Ocean stretches out before you. Let yourself relax and unwind as you take in the dazzling sunsets and moody skies. If you&#8217;re lucky, the dancing northern lights will put on a stunning show.

Sky Lagoon Pass

Enjoy a natural and historical treasure in the Golden Circle area: the peaceful and mystical Secret Lagoon hot spring pool.
The Secret Lagoon is natural, simple, and unique for you so that you can get the true Icelandic experience. The Secret Lagoon, known locally as &#8220;Gamla Laugin&#8221;, is the oldest swimming pool in Iceland. Local residents built it in 1891 at Hverahólmi, a geothermal area near Flúðir village.
What makes the lagoon special is the rich natural resources of warm water coming from the hot springs. Vaðmálahver, Básahver, and Litli Geysir (an active geyser which spouts every few minutes for the guests), provide 100% of the water supply in the lagoon.  The pool water flows continuously, and it takes only 24 hours to complete replacement. Warm, clean, and rich in sulphur, the water stays at 38-40°C (100 – 104°F) year-round.
A walking path around the pool lets you safely watch the boiling, gushing springs of water from the hot springs.
The Secret Lagoon has modern changing rooms. A bistro sells snacks, cold sandwiches and drinks. You can also purchase drinks to enjoy in the lagoon itself.

Secret Lagoon

Laugarás Lagoon is a two-story oasis designed for ultimate relaxation. It offers a variety of bathing experiences surrounded by the region&#8217;s natural beauty.
Just minutes from the famous Golden Circle wonders, Laugarás Lagoon provides an intimate connection to nature. The Lagoon sits near Laugarás, a charming village known for lush greenery, geothermal activity and greenhouse farms.
Unlike any other Icelandic lagoon experience, guests can unwind in a two-story lagoon with a cascading waterfall and an exclusive grotto. The experience includes geothermal waters, a refreshing cold plunge, and a grand sauna experience. Guests relax in stunning backdrops of Hvítá River and a thick forest.
An essential part of the Laugarás experience is dining at the on-site restaurant, Ylja (“Warmth”). Ylja offers a seasonal menu with ingredients sourced from local fisheries and geothermal greenhouses.
