Day 1

Welcome to the World’s Northernmost Capital City
Arrival in Iceland and transfer to your hotel. The transfer coach will be waiting outside the Arrivals Hall. Please show your Iceland Travel documents to the attendant on board the bus and let him or her know your hotel in Reykjavík. Please note that this is an unguided transfer, and you will not be met at the airport.
If you arrive early, you might have time for a half-day or evening excursion. From whale watching to caving or horseback riding, there are plenty of possibilities. Let us know your interests, and we can match you up with some day tour suggestions.
Overnight in Reykjavík.
Please note that most hotels start check-in around 14:00 &#8211; 16:00 (2:00pm 4:00pm)

Arrival

Day 2

Breakfast at your hotel. Today you’ll meet up with your local guide outside Harpa Concert Hall. Please note transfer from your hotel to Harpa is not included. The food and culture walk is led by a fun and knowledgeable local guide who’ll take you to the famous sites in Reykjavík, including Harpa, Hallgrimskirkja Church and the City Hall. You’ll also visit culinary places from well-known restaurants to small family- run businesses and secret local hangouts in Reykjavík. You’ll taste delicious cuisine we Icelanders love such as an Icelandic hot dog (pylsa), traditional Icelandic meat soup, homemade Icelandic ice cream from a secret family recipe and, of course, skyr (a healthy dairy product similar to Greek yogurt).
This is a small group experience where you’ll explore the local side of Reykjavík, meet hard-working families, hear fascinating stories, visit innovative restaurants, and experience age-old traditions.
The rest of the day is open for your own activities. We suggest a visit to one of the many museums or art galleries around the city. Some recommendations include the Wonders of Iceland interactive museum at Perlan, the Reykjavík Art Museum and The Settlement Exhibition that includes the excavated remains of a Viking longhouse.

Day 3

Breakfast at your hotel. Today we’ve planned for you to travel out of the city and into the Icelandic countryside so you can experience our beloved Golden Circle region.
Begin your adventure with a relaxing soak in the geothermal waters of Laugarás Lagoon, a premium spa experience in the heart of Iceland’s countryside. The spa&#8217;s design emphasises circular architectural elements, blending modern aesthetics with the surrounding nature. Guests can relax in the geothermal steam baths, enjoy the scenic views, and unwind in the tranquil environment. Your visit includes premium admission with unlimited access to the entire outdoor wellness areas, use of changing rooms with personal lockers and vanity stations, complimentary shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel in the showers, a towel, and one drink at the swim-up bar.
The lagoon features a variety of pools, including:
-Cold Pool: Providing a refreshing contrast to the warm pools
-Forest Pool: (Skógarpottur): nestled amidst lush greenery, offering a serene and secluded bathing experience
-Infinity Edge: designed to create a seamless horizon, enhancing the tranquil ambiance
-Lagoon Bars: serving a selection of beverages to enjoy while soaking in the warm waters.
Then drive to the Geysir geothermal area in Haukadalur Valley with many bubbling pools and spouting geysers. Continue to Gullfoss, the ‘Golden Waterfall&#8217;, the most famous of the country&#8217;s many waterfalls. Here the river Hvitá drops 96 feet (30 metres) in two falls, creating an awesome spectacle.
End the tour with the historic and geological wonder of Þingvellir National Park, the heart and soul of our Icelandic heritage, and we are glad for you to experience it. You will see where our Viking ancestors first met and founded our nation (and the world’s oldest continuous Parliament). You can also take a walk through a canyon that is the meeting point of the North American and European tectonic plates. The area is surrounded by mountains, a vast lava plain and Iceland’s largest lake; it’s a beautiful setting for a panoramic photo.
Return to Reykjavík in the afternoon.

Breakfast at your hotel. Use your included airport transfer to go to Keflavík airport. Please note that we recommend that you depart no later than three hours before your flight.
