A short distance from Reykjavik, the river Hvita flows from the towards the south and creates the majestic waterfall Gullfoss.
The river has a perfectly balanced mix of serene canyons and adrenaline pumping waves and rapids. No one should leave Iceland without embracing a river rafting adventure and experiencing the true power of nature in its rawest form!
Along the journey, we raft through the scenic Bruarhlod canyon and in that stunning setting participants have the option of jumping from a high cliff into the river below.
At the end of the tour, return to the base camp to relax in the sauna and enjoy the scenery.
No previous knowledge of the sport required.

Small group experience, the boat can fit 8 to 10 people.
To meet on location arrive at Drumbó River Base at least 15 minutes prior to departure
You can add pick up and transfer from your Reykjavík hotel or accommodation for an additional fee. Then the total tour including transfer is approx. 7 hours.
We welcome children from the age of 11 to join the River Fun Rafting. There is no upper age limit as long as you are healthy and are willing to get wet in cold waters.
What to bring?
Warm wool or fleece sweater and thermal underwear (pants) to wear underneath the wetsuit. Warm wool socks. This might get wet during your tour. Don’t wear cotton as it will not keep you warm when wet.
Bathing suit to wear underneath the neoprene pants on the river and for the sauna.
