Vök Baths is a geothermal destination on the beautiful Lake Urridavatn in East Iceland. Located only 5-kilometres northwest of Egilsstadir, the largest settlement in the East.
Completed in the summer of 2019, Vök Baths is Iceland’s newest geothermal destination and boasts the country’s first and only series of floating pools, allowing guests to soak in the hot water, within and surrounded by the lake.The floating pools take their shape from the ice-free patches on the lake ice, created by the hot springs in the lake.
Vök Baths harnesses the geothermal power of the region to create a unique bathing experience with amazing views of the rest of the lake and the surrounding area.
There are indoor changing facilities equipped with private showers and lockers. Refreshments available at Soups and Bistro restaurant. There is also a pool bar so you can enjoy a refreshment while soaking in crystal clear waters surrounded by the unique Icelandic nature.
